Introducing the NovaCat

Power catamaran vessels built by Rosborough Boats!

Nova Cat Power Catamarans answer the current and growing requirement for more stable, safer and more fuel efficient commercial, official work boats. Power Catamarans have long been utilized in areas of aggressive sea conditions such as Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom and provide a much wider and more stable work platform with exceptionally enhanced seaworthiness, crew comfort and moderate fuel consumption.

Rosborough Boats with their Rough Water™ line up of Commercial RHIB’s have been supplying many varied official and commercial marine agencies with highest quality mission specific boats and are renowned in the commercial/official marine world where time at sea is dictated by the weather conditions a boat can operate in.

The new Nova Cat Power Catamarans will provide excellent stability and rough weather seakeeping as well as being capable of carrying more people and cargo, improved fuel efficiency, and much greater crew comfort and safety than other Official/Commercial work boats.

As with Rough Water™ the new Nova Cats will be built to the same normal high commercial rated scantlings and standards Rosborough Boats is famous for ensuring maximum life cycle efficiencies and low maintenance.

Maritime Security and Search & Rescue are becoming ever more needed in our modern society and Rosborough Boats with the new Nova Cat and their innovative designed hulls remain on the leading edge of our Marine Protection agencies’ requirements. The cost effective Nova Cat Power Catamarans will prove to be a substantial investment in marine security and safety for boating operations and the people that are there to protect us.

With moderate twin outboard power the new Nova Cats will be capable of top speeds of 45 knots with continuous cruise speeds up to 35 knots efficiently. The dry stable soft ride in moderate to aggressive seas is what sets the Nova Cat Power Catamaran apart from all other vessels and will ensure greater operational capabilities and safety so crews can be successful in their missions in comfort.

Rosborough Boats will introduce the Nova Cat 830 (27’) in September 2011 and the larger Nova Cat 944 (31’) for January 2012. Both will be available in Center (walk around) Pilot House versions and the 944 will be available with forward interior accommodations and full width enclosed Wheelhouse accommodation.
